Spaghetti Goreng with Seafood


1 packet of spaghetti

Cooking oil

A handful of Octopus, cleaned and sliced thickly

A handful of large Prawns, peeled and tails left on and cut in half

1 tablespoon Garlic, chopped

1 1/2 Tablespoons shallots, chopped

1 tablespoon dry chili paste

1 teaspoon sweet soy sauce

A handful of fresh basil, chopped

Crushed black pepper, to taste

Salt, to taste


  1. Cook the pasta in boiling salted water. Add a few drops of ERA Cooking Oil to the water. Using the lid, cover the pot for about 7 minutes and stir occasionally.

  2. Set aside some pasta water, then strain using a strainer. Mix the pasta with the oil and set aside.

  3. Heat a pan with cooking oil, then add garlic, red onion, chili paste, soy sauce and fry until heated. Put squid, shrimp in the sauce, and add pasta water if necessary.

  4. Add the pasta, basil and add salt and black pepper to taste.
