Spaghetti Goreng with Seafood



1 Packet of Spaghetti

Cooking Oil 

A handful of squid, cleaned and cut into thick slices

A handful of large prawns, shelled leaving tails intact and cut into halves

1 Tbsp of Chopped garlic

1 1/2 Tbsp of Chopped red onion

1 Tbsp Dried chili paste

1 tsp Sweet soy sauce

A handful of fresh basil, roughly chopped

Crushed black pepper, to taste

Salt to taste



  1. Cook pasta in salted boiling water, add a few drops of Minyak Masak ERA into the water. Using the lid, cover the pot for about 7 minutes, stirring occasionally. Reserve some pasta water, then drain in a colander, mix with oil and put aside.
  2. Heat up the pan with cooking oil, then add garlic, red onion, chili paste, soy sauce and fry until heated through. 
  3. Toss in the squid, prawns in the sauces, add reserved pasta water if necessary
  4. Add the pasta, chopped basil and season with salt and black pepper to taste
